Incredible artistry and craftsmanship on this striking vase made in San Juan de los Platos, Nicaragua. The vase was hand thrown and etched, featuring delightful aquatic creatures such as swordfish, sea turtles, lobsters, and crab. It’s signed by “Gutierrez” on the bottom, which could be Helio or Alberto Gutierrez. I wasn’t able to verify which artist it was, but both are masters at their craft.
The vase was estate-owned and is in pristine condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing found.
It measures 11” in height and approx. 6 1/4” in diameter.
