Antique PH Leonard Tankard Pitcher, Vienna Austria /hg

Beautiful silhouette to this hand painted tankard-style pitcher made in Vienna Austria in the late 19th century.  The scrolled handle and the edge of the pitcher are accented with gold gilding.  The colors are vibrant and the roses are beautifully rendered. 

The pitcher was estate-owned and is in good vintage condition.  It has a few spots on the body and handle of the pitcher, but no cracks, chips, or crazing.  The inside of the pitcher is quite clean for it’s age. Look closely at the pictures for reference. 

The pitcher measures 11.25” in height and the base measures 4 7/8” in diameter. The opening is 3.25” in diameter.
