Vtg Chinese Hand Carved Wood Boy Riding Ox/ Water Buffalo /b

This is an impressive carve by a masterful hand. Intricate details and a rich warm patina enhance and elevate this piece.

The ox/ water buffalo has glass eyes. The boy upon his back has one glass eye and glass teeth in his impish grin.

Measures 11” long, 5 1/2” tall and 5 1/8” deep.

There is some damage repair to the piece. The tail has been broken and repaired, The ox has one missing horn tip and there is a drying crack on the hand of the boy.

All conditions are shown clearly in the photos.

Despite the flaws, it is a wonderful piece which displays beautifully.
