Vintage Mid-Century Stangl Pottery “Thistle” Dinner Plates Set of 4 /hg

Wonderful mid-century feel to these cheery dinner plates made by Stangl Pottery between 1951-1978.  They feature an incised thistle design, a soft ivory glaze and whimsical hand-painting. The backside of the plates is painted an earthy terracotta brown which is a beautiful accent in and of itself!  

The plates were estate-owned and are in good-excellent vintage condition.  You will see typical production flaws such as firing marks, some utensil scratches, and a couple of teeny tiny flea bite chips around the edge of the plates.  Look closely at the pictures for condition reference. 

They measure 10” in diameter.
