Sambuco Mario Deruta Italia Blue and White Majolica Platter /hgo

Charming little blue and white floral Majolica platter made in Deruta, Italy by Sambuco Mario, likely in the 1980s.  The platter is a smaller scale, measuring 10 5/8” x 7 5/8”.  It’s slightly taller than a typical platter, so it could certainly be used as a shallow vegetable dish too.  Would be great for asparagus!

The platter was estate-owned and is in excellent condition.  It’s rustic like many Italian pottery pieces, with minor dips and divots in the blank or the occasional paint smudge, but that’s they rustic charm of Italy pottery and they aren’t considered flaws.
