Beautiful antique pocket watch made by The Hampden Watch Company of Canton, Ohio in 1892.  The watch has a sub dial, hunter case, and pendant wind. Here are some of the specs for it:

Movement Serial Number: 731706

Model: 2

Estimated Production: 1892

Size: 18S

Jewels: 15J

Jewel Setting: Screw-Set

Movement Configuration: Hunting

Movement Finish: Nickel

Movement Setting: Lever

Plate: Full Plate

This watch also has a really unique fob with a little hatchet charm.  The hatchet says “1776 I did it with my little hatchet, which is in reference to George Washington and the cutting of the Cherry tree.  It also has the date Friday May 2, 76 on the other side of the hatchet.  I believe this is commemorating one of the turning points of the Revolutionary war where the French agreed to help support the American revolutionaries with over one million dollars of arms and munitions. Intriguing little piece!

The watch was estate-owned and is in fair antique condition.  It will need servicing as it isn’t currently working, and it also need a new crystal.  It would be a great restoration project, but would also be great for jewelry projects or for parts.

The watch measures approx. 2 1/8” in diameter.
