Antique EAPG Gillander & Sons Frosted Lion Oval Covered Compote Dish /hg

Beautiful and majestic piece of early American pressed glass (EAPG) made by Gillander & Sons in the mid to late 19th century, some research points to 1877 specifically.    The frosted lion detail on the pedestal and handle make this piece interesting and unique. Would be a great addition to anyone’s antique glass collection!

The dish was estate-owned and it’s in good vintage condtion.  You will see some minor flea bite chips along the rim of the dish, and a scratch in the glass.  Both imperfections are subtle and the piece still displays beautifully! Look closely at the pictures for condition reference.
